Notes:
A Carpenter body on a Freighliner chassis is a rare combination! This
bus is one of the unusual ones made after Spartan Motors bought and tried
to resurrect Carpenter. Notice the "Diamond C" Carpenter emblem on the
roof (based on the "Diamond S" Spartan logo), the straight-cornered windshield,
and the flat backside with extra-wide windows on the emergency door. This
is a nicely-designed bus... I especially like the vinyl-covered dashboard,
the separate switch panel (conveniently placed to the right by the gearshift
and park brake) for door and overhead lights, and the many storage compartments
around the driver's area. Interesting that Carpenter was still implementing
old Wayne parts into their buses... Notice the main control panel to the left
of the driver's seat: Even though the 2-row switch board itself is
identical to that of a 1996-98 Crown by Carpenter, the entire surround is
just like the early 90s Waynes!
